As a Precision CNC/Manual Machining Specialist, you’ll turn technical drawings into real-world components while collaborating with a supportive crew that values growth and continuous improvement.
A Day in the ShopYour day begins with reviewing blueprints and specs, setting up lathes, mills, and grinders, and confirming measurements before the first cut. As production rolls, you’ll fine-tune machine settings for peak performance, verify part quality with precision instruments, and document outcomes. When issues arise, you’ll troubleshoot quickly, keep downtime low, and wrap up with routine maintenance and a spotless work area.
What You’ll Do- Set up and operate a variety of machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Translate blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications into the right machining operations.
- Monitor performance and adjust machine parameters to hit quality targets.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment to reduce downtime.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to confirm accuracy and spec adherence.
- Partner with teammates to refine processes and boost throughput.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent; machining certification is a plus.
- Hands-on experience as a machinist or in a closely related role.
- Solid grasp of machining methods, tooling, and shop practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Clear communication and a collaborative mindset.
