HVAC - Mechanical EngineerThe Experienced Mechanical Engineer we are seeking will be based in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, confident in their ability to provide the highest level of client service. The candidate will be highly skilled in Mechanical engineering, have an understanding of the work within the region, and be adept at project management and some business development. Our goal is to grow our mechanical engineering work in the Austin area, and this individual will be a key player in this growth and working with the firm's current engineering leadership.The expected salary range for this position is $103,000 to $130,000 annually.Required QualificationsA Bachelor's degree or higher education in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 7 years' experience in Consulting HVAC EngineeringLicensed Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain) in the state of TexasAbility to design complex HVAC systems with high standard of quality.Proficient in design of many HVAC systems, such as VAV systems, DOAS systems, VRF systems, Data Room Cooling systems and Package rooftop systemsProficient in design of Chilled Water-Cooling and Hydronic Heating systemsAdvanced knowledge of Heating/Cooling load and Ventilation calculationsAdvanced knowledge of hydronic pipe sizing, pump selection, duct sizing and fan selectionWorking knowledge of plumbing systems, such as domestic hot & cold-water systems and waste and vent systemsProficient in application of Mechanical Building CodesAdvanced understanding of digital temperature control systems, development of control strategies, drawings, and sequences of operationProficient at writing specifications for mechanical projectsAbility to collaborate with peers and lead a team of engineers and drafters to produce high quality construction documentsAbility to provide a high level of client serviceExcellent oral and written communication skillsDid you know that some people hold back on applying to jobs if they don't meet 100% of the listed requirements?
