Psychologist - Bipolar Disorders Emphasis

Overview The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is seeking a full-time psychiatrist with the rank of Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor on the non-tenure Clinician-Educator track. The candidate will join a rich, collaborative environment with other clinicians and scientists in the Feinberg School of Medicine and throughout the University. We are expanding our clinical and teaching services in all areas of inpatient care, outpatient care, and consultation-liaison psychiatry, neuroscience, and integrated medicine. Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) is an 894-bed academic medical center hospital that is the primary teaching affiliate for the Feinberg School of Medicine and has nearly 1,900 affiliated physicians representing virtually every medical specialty. Qualified candidates will have obtained a PhD or PsyD from a clinical psychology program that is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System and completed an APA-approved internship. It is preferred that successful candidates have interest and expertise in the assessment and treatment of patients with bipolar disorders. Candidates will also have well-developed competencies that facilitate work with diverse communities and patients with intersectional identities. Candidates will also be licensed or license-eligible as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois. The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled. Responsibilities Contribute to and expand clinical and teaching services in inpatient care, outpatient care, and consultation-liaison psychiatry, neuroscience, and integrated medicine. Work collaboratively with clinicians and scientists across the Feinberg School of Medicine and University community. Compensation and Benefits The expected base pay range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000. Northwestern University provides a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications (years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline), departmental budget availability, internal comparators, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
