Description
- Conduct assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized evaluations and observational insights.
- Create customized treatment strategies that encompass both immediate goals and extended communication or swallowing aspirations.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
- Collaborate harmoniously with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to establish unified care protocols.
- Provide educational resources to patients and families to bolster progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Participate in sporadic inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the therapy process.
- Keep precise and up-to-date documentation in line with local, state, and national regulatory frameworks.
- Engage with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing educational opportunities and collaboration with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days from the start of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies across age groups, possessing a solid understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills for engaging with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Adept at adjusting therapy approaches to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic contexts.
- Strong clinical judgment combined with effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluent in electronic medical documentation and standards for maintaining accurate records.
