Description

• Conduct assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized evaluations and observational insights.
• Create customized treatment strategies that encompass both immediate goals and extended communication or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate harmoniously with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to establish unified care protocols.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to bolster progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in sporadic inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the therapy process.
• Keep precise and up-to-date documentation in line with local, state, and national regulatory frameworks.
• Engage with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing educational opportunities and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days from the start of employment.
