Heavy Fleet Powertrain and Fabrication Technician

Schedule: 4:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Some Saturdays, occasional early hours 4:00 AM – 8:00 AM) | Employment: Full-Time | Location: In Person

You will keep heavy equipment moving—diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, executing preventive maintenance, and performing essential welding and burning to restore integrity. One hour you’re assembling a new system from blueprints; the next, you’re documenting completed repairs and lending a hand with building maintenance to keep the operation smooth.

• Restore and maintain diesel-driven heavy machinery
• Own troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and facility domains
• Pinpoint issues, then deliver repairs that last
• Execute routine PMs to prevent downtime
• Assemble and install machinery and equipment with precision
• Read and apply blueprints and technical diagrams
• Record maintenance actions with accurate, detailed notes
• Contribute to general building maintenance and shop readiness
• Welding and burning for repairs is required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated welding experience
• Experience working on diesel engines, trucks, or heavy equipment
• Skilled with hand and power tools
• Comfort reading technical manuals and drawings
• Team-first communication, physical stamina, and manual dexterity

• Starting pay: $29.67/hr
• After 1 year: $30.56/hr
• After 2 years: $36.75/hr
