The Project Management Office is seeking a Computer Support Specialist to perform Quality Assurance testing.
Responsibilities:
- Developing test plans.
- Writing detailed test cases based on project requirements.
- Performing manual testing of applications.
- Identifying and documenting bugs in the Jira environment.
- Validating fixes by retesting identified bugs.
- Designing and executing manual and automated test plans for new features and releases.
- Building and maintaining a regression test suite to catch issues before they reach production.
- Performing exploratory testing to catch edge cases automated tests may miss.
- Partnering with engineers early in the development process to define acceptance criteria and testable requirements.
- Tracking, prioritizing, and reporting on defects to ensure timely resolution.
- Establishing QA metrics (defect escape rate, test coverage, time-to-detect) to measure quality improvements over time.
- Proof of eligibility to work in NYS.
- 3+ years of experience using Jira for test management or bug tracking.
- 5+ years of experience performing unit, integration, UAT, regression, and system testing.
- 2+ years of experience performing QA testing on Agile projects.
- 5+ years of experience writing test scripts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
