Charles Street, Towson, MD 21204, USA On-site Hourly Range: $37.08 USD to $56.83 USD Nursing Full-Time Requisition #: REGIS010774 Description The Adult Co-Occurring Disorders Unit is a 22 bed unit offering rapid evaluation with medical and psychiatric intervention. A track for adults with concurrent chemical dependency provides brief crisis intervention with a physician until the patient can be transferred to a lower level of care. As a Staff Nurse you will: Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician. Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families. Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff. Document and report patient progress to treatment team. Requirements Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position. Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of nursing - acquired through at least one year of inpatient RN experience; prior LPN inpatient experience will be considered with every one year of LPN experience equating to 6 months RN experience. Must hold current registered nurse (RN) licensure to practice in Maryland at the time of appointment and maintain licensure throughout the duration of employment. Candidates residing in a compact state may apply with a multistate license and must obtain a Maryland RN license within 60 days of relocation.
