Outpatient Physical Therapist

Position OverviewRelease Manual Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our thriving outpatient team in Goshen, New York. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in guiding patients through their recovery journeys following surgeries, injuries, or health conditions. Our facility is designed to create a welcoming atmosphere conducive to healing, with ample space and resources for therapy sessions. The office operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a rich work-life balance. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that values collaboration and professional development.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough assessments of each patient's physical condition, including mobility and pain levels, to develop tailored treatment plans aimed at restoring functionality.Implement and execute hands-on therapy techniques alongside therapeutic exercises that effectively improve strength, coordination, and overall mobility.Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure the most effective recovery strategies are in place.Provide patients and caregivers with detailed education on rehabilitation exercises and techniques that enable continued improvement outside of therapy sessions.Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with state regulations to ensure continuity of care and facilitate communication with all members of the healthcare team.Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, and occupational therapists to develop and execute comprehensive care plans that address the whole patient.Patient Population / Client FocusThe primary patient demographic includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and post-operative rehabilitation. Your role will focus on fostering a patient-centered approach, ensuring that each individual feels supported and understood throughout their recovery process. You will empower patients while utilizing evidence-based techniques to maximize their independence and quality of life.QualificationsActive Physical Therapist License issued by the New York State Board.Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.At least two years of clinical experience, preferably in outpatient or skilled nursing settings, handling diverse patient populations.Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to a patient-focused care approach.Preferred ExperienceExperience with specialized therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise prescription, and patient education strategies is highly desirable.Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate accurate patient documentation and streamline workflow.Experience working in interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care is a plus.Compensation and BenefitsThis position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
