Job Duties:
The Laboratory Assistant performs and coordinates venipuncture and related phlebotomy procedures provides clerical support to the department and performs billing and coding functions. Cleans prepares cleans and stores glassware and other lab equipment to follow health and safety regulations. Has knowledge of point of care testing procedures this includes but not limited to blood glucose pregnancy tests rapid strep and hemoglobin.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent additional training/education preferred such as completion of Medical Assistant program Phlebotomy training coursework in medical terminology. Phlebotomist or other healthcare certification preferred. 1 year experience in a laboratory environment preferred experience may substitute for post-secondary education.
Shift Schedule:
Full-Time Monday-Friday day hours
