We are conducting a search for an experienced CMBS and structured finance attorney to join a highly respected organization at the forefront of the commercial real estate finance market.
This is a unique opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys analyzing sophisticated transactions, evaluating complex structures and having a meaningful impact on market participants, while moving beyond the traditional demands of deal execution and billable hours.
The role will focus on a broad range of commercial real estate and structured finance transactions, including:
• Commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS)
• Single-asset/single-borrower transactions
• CRE CLOs
• Data center financings
• Single-family rental transactions
• Other innovative structured finance products
You will work closely with senior ratings professionals, transaction teams and outside counsel to evaluate legal and structural issues, identify potential risks, participate in transaction committees and contribute to market-leading research and analysis.
The ideal candidate will have:
• 5+ years of CMBS and/or commercial real estate finance experience
• Strong transactional judgment and analytical ability
• Experience reviewing complex loan and offering documents
• The ability to work independently while collaborating with sophisticated market professionals
