HEADLINE: Long Island, New York (Nassau and Suffolk Counties): We are seeking one to two board-certified or board-eligible Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians to join our thriving single-specialty practice. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Additionally, there is an option to work as an Independent Provider or Contractor. The new physician will engage in a blend of in-hospital consultations, follow-ups, procedures, and outpatient management. Three distinct work and on-call schedules will be offered, and we will strive to accommodate the new physician's preferences. Opportunities in Sleep Medicine and teaching are also available, though optional. A competitive financial compensation package is provided.

LOCATION: Long Island, New York

• This practice admits patients to one hospital in Nassau County and another in Suffolk County. (Details to be discussed)

PRACTICE OPPORTUNITY:

• We are looking for one to two board-certified or board-eligible Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians to join our busy and successful practice.

• Options for employment include full-time, part-time, and Independent Provider/Contractor roles.

• The new physician(s) will provide a combination of in-hospital consultations, follow-ups, procedures, and outpatient care.

• We will make efforts to accommodate the physician's preferences regarding work assignments and schedules.

• These exciting opportunities arise from the growth and expansion of our practice, patient base, and service area.

• Our practice has been established for over nineteen years.

• Sleep Medicine: Certification in Sleep Medicine is advantageous but not mandatory. One of our pulmonologists serves as the Director of the Sleep Lab.

• Teaching opportunities: For those interested in teaching, there are options available. One of our hospitals has recently initiated a Family Practice Residency program and an Internal Medicine Residency program.

• Available work and call schedule options include:

• A. First Option:

• Work Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Weekend Call: 1 out of 4 weekends

• Weekday Call: One weekday per week.

• Weekend Call: Coverage will be for one hospital only.
  

• B. Second Option:

• Shift Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off

• During the working week, hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Call Schedule for the Shift Week: The physician will be on call from Friday night until Monday morning, with light night call supported by dedicated Mid-Level Providers available 24/7.

• C. Third Option:

• Independent Provider/Independent Contractor: Pulmonary/CC physicians interested in this option should include their availability when applying.
  

Hospital/Medical Center Information:

• This practice admits to two hospitals: one in Nassau County, an award-winning full-service community hospital offering comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, critical care, and surgical services. (Details to be discussed)

• The second hospital, located in Suffolk County, is a large teaching facility that operates a Level II trauma center. (Details to be discussed)

• The new physician will work in a closed Intensive Care Unit with 12 beds and 8 Step-down unit (SDU) beds, with an average occupancy of 75% - 80%. The Pulmonary/CC physician will provide consultations for critical care patients.

• Availability: We welcome applications from Pulmonary/Critical Care fellows completing their training in 2026, as well as experienced Pulmonary/CC physicians.

FINANCIAL COMPENSATION: Our successful practice offers the following to the Pulmonary/CC physician:

• The starting base salary is competitive and generous for the Long Island region, ranging from $300,000 to $350,000.

• Productivity Incentive Bonus: Both work schedule options (A and B) include a productivity incentive bonus, enhancing the earning potential based on the physician's effort and dedication.
