Job Summary
Postpartum Registered Nurse (Postpartum Floor) Austin, Texas. The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in a postpartum unit. The role supports patient care on an Antepartum/Postpartum unit during scheduled night shifts. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Discipline/Specialty: Antepartum/Postpartum; Postpartum Floor (L&D PP)
• Schedule: Nights (12-hour shifts); minimum 36 hours per week
• Responsibilities:
  • Provide postpartum nursing care in alignment with unit practices and patient acuity needs
• Required Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Previous labor and delivery (L/D) or antepartum experience (required)
  • Willingness to work in a postpartum unit with established nurse-to-patient expectations (e.g., 3:1 and 4:1, occasionally 2:1 depending on acuity)
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Labor & Delivery (L/D) or Antepartum (candidates with prior L/D or Ante experience considered first)
  • Additional postpartum unit-related skill set as applicable to prior Antepartum/Postpartum experience
• Shift Details:
  • Shift time: 7:00 PM7:00 AM
  • Call requirements: none
  • Weekends: rotating
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit care includes participation in procedures such as non stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, magnesium administration, and heparin drips
  • Dress code: navy blue scrubs
