Physician - General Cardiology Opportunity

Ascension is adding a physician to our growing cardiology practice. The position is full time and will be based at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills, coordinating discharge planning with case management, recommending and working to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients, accepting patient referrals from other physicians, participating in academic programs as requested, providing appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements, and participating in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

Minimum requirements include licensure/certification/registration as a physician MD/DO credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners, and education as a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
