We're hiring an Accounting Manager on behalf of a growing foundation and civil construction company in Lafayette, LA. This is a high-visibility, direct hire role reporting to the Controller/CFO - with real opportunity to shape the accounting function as the company scales.


Job Duties - What you'll do:

• Manage general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Oversee job costing processes for accurate project profitability and cost allocation
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement scalable accounting improvements
• Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures in a growth environment
• Partner with operations and leadership to improve financial visibility
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and audit readiness

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities
• Strong job costing and general ledger accounting background
• Experience in construction, project-based, or multi-entity environments preferred
• Proven track record of process improvement and building efficient accounting systems
• Advanced Excel; ERP/accounting system experience required
• CPA a plus, not required
