Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active New Mexico state physical therapy license is required to start the assignment or appropriate compact privileges if applicable.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• All clinical staff assigned in New Mexico must complete state fingerprinting and background check procedures prior to hire. Travelers may begin on a supervised 14-day waiver while results are pending. Each agency must maintain an account with the New Mexico Department of Health and submit clinicians into the portal as part of compliance.
• Required certifications must be provided at submission. Client may require additional certifications; refer to client checklist for up-to-date requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a small, community acute care hospital (approximately 47 beds) is preferred.
• Familiarity with inpatient Rehabilitation and discharge planning processes preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 0800-1700.
• Shift Days: Days.
• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
• Candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered for travel status.
• All travelers must have required certifications at submission; certifications are not available on site.
• Traveler may be required to float to other nearby facilities as needed.
