About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Business and Operations, who will serve as the Chief Business Officer and a key member of the President's leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction in the areas of finance, business, and administrative operations, with a focus on the College's financial health, operational effectiveness, and long-term sustainability. This role involves overseeing budgeting, financial planning, risk management, and various operational functions, including facilities, public safety, housing and dining services, and other auxiliary services. The Vice President will also be involved in executive leadership, representing the institution in various capacities, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations. Applicants for the Vice President for Business and Operations position at the company should have a Master's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 7 years' of experience, preferably in higher education. The role requires a candidate with a demonstrated record of effective financial management, experience in supervising multiple administrative or business service functions, and a strong understanding of budget development and management principles. The Vice President will be expected to have knowledge of state and national issues related to higher education, as well as the ability to lead institutional capital planning initiatives. Skills in decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal relations are essential, as is the ability to ensure the institution maintains a safe and secure learning and working environment.
