Java Automation Developer (Charlotte)

Role: Automation Java

Location: Charlotte, NC (Need local candidates)

Java Developer + Automation Testing experience

They want someone who spends the majority of their time developing software, but also has meaningful experience building and executing automated tests.

Must-haves

• Strong Java development experience
• Building applications/features, not just test scripts
• Object-oriented programming
• APIs/services/backend development
• Test automation experience
• Selenium
• Playwright
• Cucumber
• JMeter
• Or comparable automation frameworks.
• Ability to write automation code, not simply execute tests.
• Experience integrating testing into the development lifecycle/CI/CD.
• Comfortable working as a developer who owns quality, rather than a QA person primarily responsible for testing.

What they DON’T want

• ❌ Someone whose resume is primarily:
• Manual testing
• Writing test cases
• Test-case execution
• Regression testing
• Unit testing only
• JUnit-only testing
