The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of blockchain technology and smart contract capabilities, along with strong hands-on Rust expertise. You will own smart contract components from design through deployment and ongoing lifecycle management, helping ensure that DTCC’s blockchain solutions are secure, efficient, reliable and aligned with the requirements of a regulated financial-services environment.Your Primary Responsibilities:Design, develop and deploy smart contracts in Rust for Stellar using Soroban and for SolanaOwn smart contract modules from design through deployment and ongoing lifecycle managementLead code reviews and contribute to security assessments and audit readinessDesign and enhance testing strategies, deployment pipelines and reusable contract librariesCollaborate cross-functionally to integrate smart contracts with platform and backend servicesIdentify, analyze and mitigate smart contract security, reliability and performance risksMentor Associate engineers and promote best practices in Rust and smart contract developmentParticipate in incident response and root-cause analysis for smart contract-related issuesCollaborate with frontend and backend developers to integrate smart contracts with web applicationsStay current with cryptographic and blockchain advancements to help identify and mitigate potential security threatsWork closely with product managers and stakeholders to clarify technical requirements and define system architectureShare blockchain and smart contract expertise with both technical and nontechnical team membersStay current with developments across the blockchain ecosystem and adapt solutions as appropriate**NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above. **Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (preferred), or equivalent practical experience5-7 of professional software engineering experience3+ years of hands-on Rust development experience2+ years of experience developing smart contracts or blockchain-based applicationsExperience developing Rust smart contracts in a production environmentStrong understanding of blockchain security, distributed systems and cryptographic principlesExperience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and secure software-delivery practicesTalents Needed for Success:Demonstrated experience performing both manual and automated testing in enterprise software environmentsExperience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suitesStrong understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and quality engineering practicesExperience testing REST APIs, web applications, microservices, and distributed systemsKnowledge of defect tracking, test management, and reporting toolsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience testing blockchain, digital-asset, or distributed-ledger platforms, including smart contracts and on-chain/off-chain transaction workflowsExperience with permissioned blockchain networks or AppChains; exposure to Hyperledger Besu or comparable enterprise blockchain technology is strongly preferredHands-on experience with modern automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or comparable technologiesExperience working with CI/CD platforms and automated quality gatesKnowledge of performance, security, and resiliency testing practicesWe offer top class training and development for you to be an asset in our organization!The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
