Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: ICU experience Comprehensive assessment skills Care of septic patients Care of mechanically ventilated patients with hemodynamic monitoring devices Description: The purpose of this position is to provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. The role requires managing patients with severe medical conditions, including sepsis, respiratory failure, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, and psychiatric disorders. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills are essential in this role. A team-player attitude, flexibility, and empathy are necessary traits for success. The unit has 30 beds with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3. Equipment utilized includes Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, and EV 1000. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Epic, is preferred. Candidates should be willing to float to other inpatient areas when the unit experiences low census. A commitment to every other weekend coverage is required.
