Lab Technician

Responsibilities Preparing metal samples for micrographic examination. Evaluating micro samples for compliance to foundry specifications. Preparing metal samples for spectrometry evaluation. Preparing samples for hardness specifications. Evaluating hardness for compliance to customer specifications. Computer skills in micrographic and spectrometry software. Safely operating jib and overhead cranes. Adhering to Nortrak’s Environmental, Safety and Quality Procedures, Practices and Policies. Requirements High School graduate or GED preferred. Experience in Forklift and Crane operations is an asset. Ability to read work orders and blueprints preferred. Experience with measuring tools preferred. Basic mathematical calculation experience in adding and subtracting whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
