Job Title Manager In Training Job Summary Responsible for assisting in the oversight of gym operations to ensure a positive member experience. Reports To and Status Reports To: Club Manager. Status: Full Time, Supervisor, Non‑Exempt. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in training and developing staff. Assist in member service oversight ensuring all staff provide a great customer experience. Front‑desk related tasks such as answering phone calls politely, taking information calls, member check‑ins, sign‑ups, cancellations, and updating member account information. Provide gym tours to potential members. Assist in facilitating member service issues and questions. Support team member management and serve as backup to the Club Manager as needed. Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures and help maintain a positive club image. Oversee cleanliness and appearance of the gym. Assist in managing marketing efforts, ensuring that team members are aware of and trained on all current marketing promotions. Help order supplies, maintain inventory, and track reports as required. Maintain clear, timely communication with team members and supervisors to increase productivity. Essential Behavior Requirements Excellent customer service skills, communicating and interacting with customers and coworkers to exceed expectations. Active listening and empathy, working together to resolve problems. Strong problem‑solving skills, defining issues, analyzing information, encouraging alternative solutions, and seeking assistance when needed. Diplomatic interaction using appropriate behavior and language. Effective communication, maintaining timely updates to prevent misunderstandings. Minimum Qualifications Honesty and a strong work ethic. Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Basic computer proficiency. Physical Demands Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift. Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. less than 30% of the time.
