Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Adult)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required | Every other holiday required, if needed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across all emergency-type diagnoses at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• Perform and manage IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and IV vasopressors
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and operate CPAP/BiPAP equipment
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, managing dysrhythmias as indicated
• Care for patients presenting with CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI, gunshot wounds, and orthopedic trauma
• Conduct triage, maintain isolation precautions, and float within skillset as needed; EPIC charting is required for all documentation

Required Qualifications

• Active New York Single State RN license required at time of submission (NY is not a Compact state; pending licenses are not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required — must be valid and included at time of submission
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with specialized equipment such as Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment
• Experience in pediatric emergency care, including pediatric spinal cord injury
• Background in a high-acuity trauma or stroke-certified environment
