Quality Assurance Technician (Food Manufacturing)

In this role, you'll spend time both on the production floor and in the office, conducting product inspections, verifying labels and packaging, performing quality testing, and maintaining quality documentation. You'll collaborate closely with production and leadership teams to identify improvements, support investigations, and help maintain a culture focused on safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Perform quality inspections on food products, packaging, and production processes
• Conduct X-ray and metal detector testing to ensure product safety
• Verify labels, ingredient codes, packaging integrity, and product specifications
• Complete quality documentation and support audits and investigations
• Monitor for non-conformances and assist with corrective actions
• Partner with production teams to uphold food safety and GMP standards

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 6 months of quality experience in a food manufacturing environment
• Experience with food quality inspections, documentation, and GMPs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality concerns
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
• HACCP knowledge is a plus

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bourbonnais, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
