Rapp's Barren Brewing Co in Mountain Home, AR is looking for an assistant manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED along with food & beverage experience, preferably in a supervisory role. An assistant manager must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and be trained in all department operations

Responsibilities

• Supports the general manager with direction, supervision, performance, training, and evaluation of all positions within the department.
• Establish systems/ procedures that contribute in a major way towards growth and profitability levels
• Pour, serve and describe craft beer, cocktails and other beverages as needed
• Maintaining inventory control and assist in monitoring budget
• Assist with Community PR and maintaining high levels of Team Member satisfaction.
• Assist with drink menu development as needed
• Supervise each shift and ensure that the department is run in compliance with all company policies, rules, and regulations
• Communicate to customers: such as call-ins, walk-ins, musicians, food vendors, happy people, sad people, funny people, boring people, managers, co-employees, family members, friends, acquaintances and morbid enemies...all with a kind and smiling face!
• Ensure that the facility maintains a superior standard of cleanliness.
• Be knowledgeable with proper health and safety standards and ensure all staff are following as the correct procedures
• Balancing and resetting the registers for the new week, with assistance from the General Manager

Qualifications

• A good knowledge of food, craft beer, and cocktails with a desire for continued education.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment (and sometimes a slow paced environment, lets be real!).
• Enjoy serving others and help to provide EXEMPLARY customer experience.
• Ability to lift 80+ pounds as well as bend, squat, lift and twist.
• Ability to work a full time schedule of 40 or more hours a week, most of which is standing.
• MUST be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Minimum of a GED with supervisory experience in a related field.
