This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Social Media & Community (Ethique Beauty) - Contract based in the United States.

The Senior Manager, Social Media & Community will shape and strengthen a growing beauty brand’s presence across social media, creator partnerships, and online communities. This hands-on role combines social media strategy, content planning, influencer engagement, and community building to increase brand awareness and deepen customer relationships. You will identify emerging creators, develop authentic partnerships, and explore collaborations and activations that connect with audiences interested in beauty and sustainability. Working within a small, agile team, you will move seamlessly between strategic planning and day-to-day execution. You will also help the brand participate meaningfully in existing online conversations, prioritizing genuine engagement over traditional sales-driven messaging. Accountabilities:

The Senior Manager, Social Media & Community will lead social media execution, creator relationships, and community initiatives to increase brand visibility and build meaningful connections with consumers. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead social media strategy and day-to-day execution, including content calendars, creative briefs, content sourcing, publishing, and community management.
• Source user-generated content (UGC) creators and coordinate content development to support brand storytelling and audience engagement.
• Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with nano- and micro-influencers, particularly within beauty, sustainability, and related lifestyle communities.
• Manage creator partnerships from initial outreach through gifting coordination, collaboration planning, and ongoing relationship management.
• Support affiliate creator initiatives across platforms such as TikTok Shop, Amazon Creators, LTK, and ShopMy.
• Participate in relevant Reddit threads, Facebook groups, and other online communities, contributing helpful and authentic insights that reflect the brand’s values without relying on overly promotional messaging.
• Identify opportunities for brand collaborations, community partnerships, sampling initiatives, and small-scale events.
• Plan and execute partnerships and activations from concept development through implementation and follow-up.
• Collaborate closely with the internal team on content strategy, creator sourcing, campaign execution, and opportunities to strengthen brand awareness.
• Test new content formats, creator approaches, and community initiatives, adapting strategies based on audience response and emerging opportunities.
• Capture social content directly when needed to support a responsive and hands-on approach to content creation.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a creative, collaborative social media and community professional who combines strategic thinking with practical execution. They should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, building authentic relationships, and experimenting with new approaches to grow a purpose-driven consumer brand. Required qualifications include:

• Approximately five years of professional experience after completing formal education in social media, community management, content, creator relations, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience planning and executing social media strategies across Instagram and TikTok.
• Hands-on experience sourcing influencers, managing creator relationships, or coordinating user-generated content initiatives.
• A proven track record of building online communities or managing social media presence for a brand or organization at any scale.
• Strong content planning, creative briefing, publishing, and community engagement skills.
• Ability to identify relevant creators and develop partnerships that align with brand values and target audiences.
• Comfort with ambiguity, experimentation, and testing ideas that may not always deliver the expected results.
• Ability to balance strategic responsibilities with hands-on execution and shift priorities as business needs evolve.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and a kind, positive approach to working within a small team.
• Genuine interest in or experience with beauty, sustainability, and/or outdoor lifestyles.

Additional experience with affiliate creators across TikTok Shop, Amazon Creators, LTK, or ShopMy is an advantage. The ability to capture original social media content is also a plus.

Benefits:

• Hourly compensation ranging from $40 to $47.
• Fully remote contract position for candidates based in the United States who are authorized to work there.
