As an Activity Assistant at Rehab at Scottsdale Village Square, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall well-being and quality of life for our residents. Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and lead a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities, such as exercise classes, arts and crafts, and social events

• Develop and implement activity programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities, including those with cognitive, physical, and sensory impairments

• Collaborate with the therapy team to incorporate activities into individualized care plans

• Assist with resident assessments to identify areas of interest and develop personalized activity plans

• Coordinate with volunteers, family members, and vendors to ensure successful activity implementation

• Maintain accurate records of activity participation, resident feedback, and program evaluations

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff members

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., recreation therapy, gerontology) a plus

• Previous experience in activity programming, long-term care, or related field preferred

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with residents, families, and staff

• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds
