With our competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, we have the right opportunities to fit your life and launch your career today.Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector is looking for a Sr. Principal Supplier Management Team (SMT) Systems Engineer on the Delta Flight Test Vehicle (DFTV) within Advanced Equipment Subcontract with Lockheed Martin for the Sentinel Program, located at the Strategic Deterrence Division (SDS) headquarters in Roy, UT.As a DFTV SMT Systems Engineer, you will work along-side other SMT teams supporting the Advanced Equipment SMT Lead. Primary job responsibilities are participating in the technical oversite of Lockheed Martin DFTV subcontract. This includes participation and leading technical tag ups, support of testing and review / approvals of test reports and procedures and working within the team to align with customer requirements that flow to the subcontract.What You Will Get To Do:Complete tasking with minimum oversight.Understand and apply system requirements.Mentor lower level EngineersParticipate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical and integrated systemsMaintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirementsCreate technical reports and present technical informationRequirements coordination with systems engineers, specialty teams, and customer.Verify specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysisSupport all phases of the systems life cycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposalReview customer deliverables, testing, and requirements verification. Bring technical information to boards including PERB, AERB and TRB (as applicable) for all variances, technical direction to supplier, etc.Support pre-ship reviews and coordination with ILS group.Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements.Assistance in planning and scheduling activities.Interface with AF customer and Subcontractor.Basic Qualification:Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of related experience, 6 years with a master’s degree.Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR).5 years minimum experience in Requirements Verification and tools such as DOORS.3 years experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and tools such as Cameo3 years experience in review/approval of test plans/procedures and test reports.Preferred Qualification:Active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Prior Supplier Management Experience on a Program in the Development phase.Technical evaluations of supplier proposals & subsequent contract negotiations.Experience in creating and monitoring technical risks and opportunities.As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:- Medical, Dental & Vision coverage- 401k- Educational Assistance- Life Insurance- Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions- Paid Time Off- Health & Wellness Resources- Employee DiscountsThis position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.Relocation assistance may be available for the selected candidate.#SentinelSystems Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
