Job Overview
Superior Duct Fabrication is seeking to fill 1 opening for a Housekeeping Custodian position. No prior experience is required. The successful candidate must be able to pass a basic physical examination, drug screening, and criminal background check.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

This is a union position with SMART Local 206 . Union membership is mandatory. After the probationary period, medical benefits are available to the employee.

Basic Requirements

• Previous housekeeping, custodial, janitorial, or facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to clean and maintain offices, restrooms, common areas, and work areas.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures and safe use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving cleaning equipment.
• Must be willing to maintain a clean, safe, and organized workplace

Essential Functions
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly facilities.

• Sweep, mop, and clean floors and common areas.

• Collect and dispose of trash and debris from indoor and outdoor areas.

• Clean and maintain restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other designated areas.

• Dust, wipe, and sanitize surfaces as needed.

• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.

• Keep walkways, entrances, and work areas free of debris and clutter.

• Water and maintain plants as assigned.

• Clean windows, doors, and other surfaces as needed.

• Report spills, safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or areas requiring attention to the appropriate supervisor.

• Follow established cleaning procedures and workplace safety guidelines.

• Properly use and store cleaning supplies and equipment.

• Perform other general housekeeping and custodial duties as assigned.

Knowledge
• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and equipment.
• Understanding of general workplace cleanliness and safety practices.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of proper handling and storage of cleaning supplies preferred but not required.

• Reading Comprehension – Understand basic written instructions, safety information, and work-related documents.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning supplies and waste materials as required.
