Sterile Processing Technician

• Location: Indianapolis, IN

• Facility: St. Vincent Hospital

• Department: Sterile Processing

• Schedule: PRN | Evenings | Hours: 3pm to 11:30pm

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and package surgical instruments following IFUs and safety standards.

• Operate and test sterilization equipment to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.

• Verify instrument sets according to count sheets and instrument tracking systems.

• Maintain proper inventory levels to support case carts and surgical needs.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• One or more of the following Preferred:

• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association.

• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences:

• Previous Sterile Processing experience preferred
