Field Service Technician / Customer Engineer

We are seeking a Field Service Technician / Customer Engineer to troubleshoot, service, and maintain ATM equipment. This role involves field-based technical support, basic module-level troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and customer issue resolution. Training and certifications will be provided to support the successful completion of required field service responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform minor maintenance, repairs, and component replacement at the module level.
• Maintain parts inventory and related records.
• Provide status reports throughout the service repair process.
• Diagnose problems based on information provided in service calls and through ATM error logs.
• Take ownership of customer issues through resolution according to applicable SLA agreements.
• Follow security and safety procedures when working with ATMs and within financial institution environments.
• Complete required training and certifications.
• Accurately and promptly report service calls, activities, and other required information.
• Organize and plan time effectively while managing assigned service activities.
• Apply routine work-area procedures and complete standardized activities.
• Troubleshoot task-related problems in straightforward situations while emphasizing hands-on technical skills.
• Determine when and to whom issues should be escalated.

Physical & Field Requirements:

• May require bending, squatting, walking, standing, and/or sitting for prolonged periods.
• May require travel within the assigned service area.
• Ability to carry and/or lift a tool kit and parts weighing approximately 1–50 lbs.
• Work may involve daily dispatches on a call-by-call basis or a scheduled daily route.
• May require rotating shifts, nights, and/or weekends.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of related experience.
• Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude, skills, and knowledge.
• Basic problem-solving skills and ability to learn new skills quickly.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision.
• Android smartphone capable of receiving work orders and accessing support documentation.
• Basic hand tools are required, including commonly used #1 and #2 flathead and Phillip's screwdrivers.

Required Availability, Experience & Skillset:

• Ability to work Monday through the required workweek, with the average shift beginning around 8:00 or 9:00 AM, depending on the service area.
• High level of personal integrity and ability to work well with minimal supervision.
• Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technical skills quickly.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree preferred.
• Previous experience with ATM equipment or similar equipment is preferred.
