Registered Dental AssistantThe Airway Dentists' mission is to provide exceptional dental care and rid the world of sleep disordered breathing. With offices in The Woodforest, Atascocita, Cypress, Friendswood, The Heights, Katy and Sugar Land (and more to come), we provide orthodontic, sleep apnea, and general dentistry services. Our clinical team is led by our co-founders, Dr. Kyle Hale, Dr. Kalli Hale, and Dr. Matt Hicks. We are hiring a full-time Dental Assistant to join us in redefining the standard of care in dentistry.The ideal candidate:Will have a passion for helping patients and supporting our dentists. Candidates should be friendly, energetic, motivated, ambitious, self-starters, dependable, and organized with a cheerful attitude.The Opportunity:Full-time, paid Dental Assistant position to assist skilled Airway DentistsCompetitive compensation: $20-25/hr depending on experienceEligible for merit-based bonusNumerous personal and professional growth opportunities in our expanding practicesDuties include:Taking ownership of back office duties and systemsTaking and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signsAssisting the dentist during pre-operative and operative proceduresScanning patients for procedures using iTero scanner, pre- and post-op work, crowns and bridgesPreparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instrumentsProviding post-operative instructions to patientsFollowing up with patients to ensure the highest level of satisfactionUnderstanding each phase of our Airway, Invisalign and general dentistry treatmentsPlacing temporary crowns, attachments, buttons, and fixed expandersCreating, managing, coordinating, and following up with online scheduling, consults, and virtual appointmentsCleaning suction traps, running cleaners in equipment, and ordering suppliesThe ideal candidate's background:We prefer candidates with at least 2 years' experience as a Dental AssistantInvisalign experience preferredState License and CPR certification requiredKnowledge of dental instruments and medical equipmentProficient in taking accurate dental radiographsOutstanding organizational, communication, and patient service skillsAbility to deal effectively with a wide variety of situations and peopleExhibits confidence and enthusiasm for new challengesMust have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn new dental technologies and techniques
