PREP COOKS needed for TOP Restaurant
KIRA was recently voted Best New Restaurant by Gambit. Featuring Italian-inspired cuisine with a wood-fired oven, handmade pastas, pizzas and distinctive flavors designed around family-style dining and sharing. The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Casey Wilcox. We are seeking PREP COOKS to help support and develop this outstanding team. We are looking to expand services and need talented people to support our team as we meet this increased demand. It is our goal to hire highly motivated and hardworking individuals who share the same love for food and our excellence.
- Job includes daily prep of recipes and components to support all line stations.
- Responsible for large-batch production of sauces, stocks, doughs and other kitchen staples to recipe and spec.
- Breakdown and portioning of proteins with consistency and minimal waste.
- Prep and set the line so every station is stocked and ready before service.
- Keep walk-ins, dry storage and prep areas organized, labeled, dated and rotated (FIFO).
- Must be able to work from prep lists, prioritize tasks and hit deadlines ahead of service.
- Must be punctual, dependable and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Must work clean and uphold food safety and kitchen standards.
- Team-oriented, passionate and motivated to learn and grow.
- Strong knife skills required; butchery experience is a plus.
- Creativity and love for cooking delicious food is encouraged.
