The National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH) - Public Health Analyst II Position type: Contract. This role supports the National Environmental Public Health Tracking Program (Tracking Program) to prevent exposures to environmental health hazards and improve community health. The analyst will lead contract activities, manage multiple task orders, provide technical assistance, and facilitate multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Plan, organize, direct, control, staff, and report on contract activities, ensuring compliance with task order requirements, budgets, schedules, and quality standards. Provide technical assistance services to support the Tracking Program’s mission. Facilitate and coordinate technical teams in state and national public health data systems and emerging standards, working with state health and environmental agencies. Organize and lead online and in‑person meetings, workshops, training sessions, and seminars; develop agendas, take minutes, and provide virtual meeting support. Assist in strategic and annual planning by gathering and synthesizing feedback from work groups, teams, and forums. Maintain knowledge management for the program by documenting work group outputs, managing a secure web‑based repository, and ensuring timely dissemination of information. Collaborate with partners to develop new data collection standards, models, and methodologies to enhance public health surveillance. Ensure work products are thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and meet milestones and delivery schedules. Qualifications 10 or more years of relevant experience in business management, informatics, data science, bio‑statistics, epidemiology, health education, and communication. Proficiency in program development, strategic planning, evaluation, facilitation, partnership building, and project management. Technical competence with Microsoft Office 2016 or later and experience defining project activities, sequencing tasks, estimating effort, determining critical paths, and leveling schedules. Excellent active listening and verbal communication skills; strong business writing ability. Flexible, adaptable, able to manage shifting priorities, demands, and timelines. Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of stakeholders. U.S. Citizenship required. Participation in e‑Verify program. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe). Eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” (Employment Authorization) by the USG’s designated Security Office. May be required to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement. Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or DOE “Q” clearance.
