Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Renal Med-Surg) in Zanesville, Ohio. Start date 09/21/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a 19-bed Renal Med-Surg unit within a clinical setting. Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 3x12, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. This travel role focuses on the care of adults with acute and chronic kidney disease, post-dialysis needs, and complex medical-surgical conditions. Epic EMR is in use; prior experience is required to provide seamless documentation and coordination of care.

Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients
- Manage patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; respond to rhythm changes and hemodynamic shifts
- Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units (Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, ED boarders)
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic EMR; ensure safety and adherence to care standards
- Administer medications and interventions per physician orders; advocate for patient safety and quality care

Requirements
- Active Ohio RN license (required at submission)
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience; renal experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
- Epic EMR proficiency required; no training provided; lack of Epic proficiency could result in termination
- Ability to float within scope to similar Med-Surg units as needed
- Competency test required on Day 1; failure results in immediate contract termination
- Must be able to work the night shift and meet on-site requirements
