This role is centered on consistent light housekeeping and home upkeep, ensuring that our space feels reset, tidy, and comfortable throughout the week.While we do have a weekly professional cleaning service that handles deeper cleaning, this position plays an essential role in maintaining the home in between visits—handling daily cleaning, laundry, and general tidying, and taking pride in the details that make a home feel calm and well cared for.For someone who enjoys creating order, staying active, and supporting a busy household behind the scenes, this is a steady, straightforward role with a clear and important impact.Top Priorities for This RoleThis role is primarily focused on hands-on housekeeping and daily household upkeep to ensure the home stays consistently clean, organized, and running smoothly.The day-to-day responsibilities center on:Daily housekeeping resets: cleaning and maintaining all main living areas, including kitchen surfaces, dishes, floors, and general tidinessLaundry management: handling all family laundry from start to finish, including washing, drying, air drying, folding, and putting everything awayHome upkeep: making beds, tidying rooms, taking out trash and recycling, and ensuring all areas of the home are clean and reset each visitThe family does have a weekly professional cleaning service, but this role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in between those visits.Once these core housekeeping tasks are complete, there may be time to support additional items such as light meal prep, errands, or home organization projects.Who You Are / What We're Looking ForThis role is best suited for someone who enjoys hands-on housekeeping work and takes pride in keeping a home clean, organized, and running smoothly day-to-day.You are someone who:Takes satisfaction in maintaining a clean and orderly home environmentIs comfortable with routine, physical household tasks (cleaning, laundry, tidying) as a primary focus of the roleIs proactive and notices what needs to be done without directionHas strong attention to detail and follows tasks through to completionWorks efficiently and independently during set shiftsIs reliable, consistent, and takes ownership of their responsibilitiesBrings a positive, can-do attitude to supporting a busy householdThis is not a purely managerial role—it is ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day upkeep of a home.Key Responsibilities:Daily Housekeeping & Home Upkeep (Primary Focus)Clean and reset kitchen daily (wipe surfaces, clean sink, load/unload dishwasher, hand wash as needed, vacuum floors)Complete all family laundry from start to finish (wash, dry, air dry as needed, fold, and put away—nothing left in machines)Maintain laundry areas (wipe down washer interiors, clean dryer lint regularly)Make beds and tidy all bedrooms and common areasMaintain overall cleanliness and tidiness of the home throughout each shiftTake out trash and recycling; break down boxes as neededWater and maintain indoor plantsFluff sofa cushions on a weekly basisAdditional Household Support (Occasional / Seasonal Priorities)Run occasional errands (e.g., package returns) and assist with general household logisticsSupport general home organization and seasonal projects (e.g., patio setup, décor, storage areas), including maintaining the roof deck during active seasons and managing seasonal storage binsAssist with periodic deep cleaning projects (e.g., monthly refrigerator clean, quarterly oven cleanouts, maintaining utility areas, toy organization)House Management Support (As Time Allows)Light meal prep (washing/chopping fruits and vegetables, occasional simple dinner prep)Coordinate light home and vehicle maintenance (e.g., scheduling service appointments, tracking upkeep)Provide occasional supervision or transportation for the family's 9-year-oldOptional evening/date-night childcare support if there is a strong mutual fitHow to ApplyPlease submit the following:A short introductory letterYour updated resumeThree professional references with contact informationPlease note: this role requires a background check.Notice: When you apply with Sage Haus, you'll also be added to our candidate community email list to receive hiring updates, resources, and opportunities.
