Opus Inspection TechnicianOpus Inspection, a leader in the vehicle testing industry, is seeking an experienced ASE L1 Certified Technician to work in our Motorist Assistance Center located in Beverly, MA and provide assistance to Motorists, Inspection Stations and Registered Repair Station personnel. Don't worry, we will provide free training and compensate you during your first three months to help you pass the certification exam.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssures that the MACs are properly maintained.Provide training for inspectors.Ensures performance of covert vehicles, including the set up and testing failures of covert audit vehicles.Evaluates waiver requests and hardship extension requests.Evaluate kit cars.Evaluate vehicles referred to the MAC (readiness, targeted, etc.).Visually inspect vehicles presented for repair waivers to determine whether the repair work has been done.Respond to test interruption and hotline calls.Assist Registered Repair Stations diagnosing vehicles that have problems with emissions.Perform other tasks as assigned by the Management staff.High School diploma or equivalent.A.S.E. Master Certified and L1 Technician certification; or ability to obtain certifications within 90 days of hire.Minimum 2 years of Automotive Service work experienceQualificationsAbility to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of general office systems (i.e. PC), procedures and methods.Strong organizational skills.Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office productsAutomotive diagnosis and repair strategiesOpus is a technology-driven, global leader in the Vehicle Inspection and Intelligent Vehicle Support (IVS) markets, empowering automotive service technicians to meet the challenges of ever-increasing vehicle computerization.
