Project Estimator/Manager

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project requirements and provide accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality.

Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather relevant information for accurate pricing.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create comprehensive estimates.
• Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible rates.
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information necessary for accurate estimations.
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for potential clients.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
• Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using estimating software, particularly HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Solid knowledge of cost control measures and project management techniques.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex information clearly.
