Registered Nurse - Float Pool

This position is for the Float Pool within a critical care setting. RNs will float only within their specialty and will not float to lower acuity units. RNs may be assigned to any facility to serve as a 1:1 sitter as needed. Units included in the float pool consist of Emergency, Intensive Care, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Labor & Delivery/Post-Partum, and Neonatal Intensive Care across multiple facilities. Nurse to patient ratios depend on the unit, with ICU ratios being 1:1 to 2. RNs are required to titrate drips in specific units. Common titratable drips include insulin in Medical Surgical units. Each unit has a designated Charge Nurse. Support staff, including patient care technicians, are available in various ratios depending on the unit. Shifts are generally from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with no self-scheduling available. Weekend work is required as needed. Holidays may be worked if there is a staffing need. Travelers will receive shift assignments through an app one hour before their shift starts. Clean and professional attire is expected. The facility has policies to ensure compliance with radius requirements for applicants.
