Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students from Pre-K through 8th grade in a supportive, contract-based role. This opportunity is based near Waukegan, IL, and is ideal for a Physical Therapist who is passionate about working in school environments and helping children thrive.

You will collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations, ensuring each students physical therapy needs are identified and addressed. With a manageable caseload and a consistent schedule working two days per week (approximately 16 hours) youll be able to provide focused, high-quality care.

Key Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working with children in a school setting preferred
• Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with team members, educators, and parents
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Familiarity with IEPs and school-based therapy protocols

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and re-evaluations for Pre-K through 8th grade students
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other therapists to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of each students educational experience
• Support students progress toward their physical development goals through evidence-based interventions
