Clinical Data Manager

Clinical Data ManagerPeers and Partners, Inc. is seeking qualified Clinical Data Managers (CDMs) to support a major clinical research data management program at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). We are seeking candidates who can contribute immediately to a high-performing clinical research data management team while demonstrating the professionalism, judgment, technical capabilities, and attention to detail. CDMs will provide comprehensive data management support to clinical research teams and contribute directly to the quality, integrity, and usability of clinical research data. In addition, CDMs will work collaboratively with Federal clinical research personnel, investigators, research teams, and other contractor staff. Depending on program needs, CDMs may be assigned to specific clinical protocols, research areas, or research teams. The ideal candidate will have experience managing clinical or healthcare-related data and be comfortable working in a highly regulated, collaborative clinical research environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive clinical data management support to assigned clinical research protocols and research teams.Review, organize, maintain, and manage clinical research data in accordance with established protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and applicable Federal requirements.Support data collection, data entry, data validation, data cleaning, data reconciliation, and quality assurance activities.Review clinical research data for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with protocol requirements.Identify data discrepancies, inconsistencies, missing information, and potential data quality issues and coordinate appropriate resolution.Utilize current and legacy clinical research databases and other data management systems as required.Support database maintenance, data queries, data tracking, and reporting activities.Collaborate with clinical research staff to understand protocol requirements and ensure data management activities support study objectives.Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of data management processes and procedures.Maintain appropriate documentation of data management activities in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.Support quality assurance and quality control activities related to clinical research data.Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and security of clinical research information.Communicate effectively with Federal employees, investigators, clinical research staff, and other contractor personnel.Work independently while also functioning effectively as part of multidisciplinary clinical research teams.Adapt to multiple protocols, research areas, databases, and evolving program requirements.Perform other data management activities as assigned by program leadership.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.At least 3 years of relevant professional experience is preferred; however, recent college graduates with relevant clinical, healthcare, research, database, analytics, or data management experience will be considered.Demonstrated experience working with data management, data quality, database, research, healthcare, or clinical research activities.Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data discrepancies and inconsistencies.Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize work in a deadline-driven environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with clinical research personnel and multidisciplinary teams.Ability to work onsite at the NIH Main Campus in Bethesda, Maryland, up to five days per week.Ability to maintain professionalism when interacting with Federal government personnel, investigators, researchers, and other contractor staff.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a healthcare, hospital, academic medical center, clinical research, or biomedical research environment.Prior experience supporting NIH or another Federal health agency.Experience supporting clinical trials, clinical protocols, or human-subjects research.Experience with clinical research databases or electronic data capture systems.Experience with data validation, data cleaning, quality control, or quality assurance.Familiarity with clinical research documentation, SOPs, regulatory requirements, or Federal research requirements.Experience working with legacy databases or transitioning/migrating data between systems.Experience working directly with physicians, investigators, research coordinators, nurses, or other clinical research personnel.Knowledge of clinical research data standards and data management best practices.What We Are Looking ForSuccessful candidates will demonstrate:Clinical research orientation: Understands the importance of accurate, complete, and reliable data to clinical research.Data quality mindset: Naturally identifies discrepancies, missing information, inconsistencies, and potential quality issues.Attention to detail: Able to work accurately with large volumes of information and maintain meticulous documentation.Collaboration: Comfortable working closely with investigators, clinical research staff, Federal employees, and contractor personnel.Professionalism: Demonstrates maturity and professionalism in a highly visible Federal clinical research environment.Adaptability: Can learn new databases, protocols, systems, and processes quickly.Accountability: Takes ownership of assigned work and follows established SOPs and quality requirements.
