Check us out at and become part of our awesome team!The Welder II is responsible for producing quality weldments according to blueprints, weld procedures, work instructions, and production requirements. This position works with limited supervision and performs more complex welding and fabrication tasks while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.We are looking for a Welder II for 3rd Shift. If you thrive in a collaborative and inclusive culture, working side by side with talented teammates or hand in hand with customers and communities to solve real-world technology problems, we want to hear from you.What You'll DoPerform MIG/FCAW and other assigned welding processesRead and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructionsSet up welding equipment, select proper settings, wire, gas, and consumablesComplete tack-up, fit-up, welding, grinding, and finishing operationsInspect welds for quality, size, appearance, and defectsIdentify and correct common welding problemsUse measuring tools and basic inspection equipmentMeet established production, quality, and labor-hour expectationsSafely operate cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other equipment when trained and authorizedFollow all safety, PPE, hot-work, 6S, and material-handling requirementsComplete required production and quality documentationAssist in training less-experienced welders when requestedReport safety, quality, material, and equipment issues to supervisionSupport continuous improvement and other duties as assignedWhat We Need To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary accountability satisfactorily. Core Competencies: Reliability - Maintains dependable attendance and punctuality; Safety - Follows all safety procedures and PPE requirements Organizational Competencies: Teamwork - Works effectively with Welders, Fitters, Leads, and Supervisors Additional Position Competencies: Productivity - Meets established production and labor-hour expectations Technical Skills: Quality - Produces welds that meet specifications and minimizes rework; Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols; Ability to recognize and correct common weld defects; Ability to use basic measuring tools Licenses / Certifications Ability to obtain or maintain forklift and overhead crane certification Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) preferred Physical Requirements (Approximate time spent to be included in physical demands such as walking, or bending, specific lifting requirements (lbs) and/or other requirements such as vision or hearing.) Most of the time spent standing and walking. May be situations which require up to 60 pounds of lifting. Must be able to bend and kneel periodically. Must be able to see and hear.
