Description Job Title: Regional Account Manager Reports To: GM - NECO FLSA Status: Exempt Status: Full-time Department: NECO Location: Remote JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for driving revenue growth, business development, and strategic account management for NECO within an assigned territory. This role plays a key factor in the NECO growth strategy by cultivating relationships with prospects, deepening relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities to expand NECO's products & services. Primary Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to) Key Responsibilities Grow new business.
- Working within the NECO sales process to find, contact, vet and move the prospects through the sales process.
- Collaborate with NECO leadership, and cross-functional departments within TMG to expand into new markets and offer new products & solutions.
- Actively communicate with NECO leadership and the Tobacco team to drive new business as expediently as possible.
- Cultivate relationships, internal and external, to ensure strong customer relationships across the organization.
- Work with the customer and internal departments to find solutions that gain TMG share of wallet with the customer.
- Utilize a "What is best for the customer?" mindset in all aspects of the relationship.
- Complete business reviews to ensure the customer sees the value we are delivering.
- Communicate as needed regarding market intel, daily margin successes and to close out any customer issues.
- Solve all customer problems related to petroleum and ensure that SOPs are in place to prevent any future issues.
- Develop trusted customer relationships that position NECO as a preferred strategic partner beyond pricing considerations.
- Know the market that this role is responsible for including all customers, prospects, suppliers, carriers, and competitors.
- Own and manage the sales pipeline and CRM for their customers and prospects.
- Collaborate with the NECO team to understand the supply & logistics drivers within the assigned market, and to provide local intelligence.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years in petroleum sales -or- two years in petroleum distribution, with prior sales experience in another industry.
- Travel is required 50% plus
- Demonstrated success managing a sales pipeline, developing new business, growing existing customer relationships, and closing business within an assigned territory or market.
- Working knowledge of petroleum supply markets, fuel distribution, transportation, pricing, margin drivers, or related commercial operations.
- Self-motivated and driven to win.
- Ability to find creative solutions for customer pain points, using consultative questioning strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, professional, and culturally aware.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Computer proficiency with internet access and Microsoft Office.
- Experience working within Native American territories or Tribal communities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Petroleum Management, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Resides in the assigned market.
- Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Primarily works in a remote, office, or professional business environment, with regular use of a computer, phone, video conferencing tools, and standard office equipment.
- May require extended periods of sitting, reading, analyzing information, participating in meetings, and communicating by phone, email, or video conference.
- Must be able to travel regularly, including driving and possible overnight travel, to company locations, supplier or carrier sites, terminals, customer locations, meetings, and industry events.
- May occasionally be exposed to petroleum terminal, fuel distribution, transportation, or customer site environments, including outdoor weather conditions, fuel odors, vehicle traffic, uneven walking surfaces, and moderate noise.
- Must be able to occasionally stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and safely navigate facilities, terminals, customer sites, and other business locations during site visits.
- Must be able to occasionally lift or carry typical business materials, such as a laptop, documents, presentation materials, or small samples, generally up to 25 pounds.
- Must follow applicable site safety requirements, including use of required personal protective equipment when visiting terminals, customer sites, or other operational environments.
