Overview
Registered Nurse – PCU (IMCU) travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date: 09/14/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: day shift, 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Unit: IMCU/PCU with floating required; EMR: EPIC; patient population: adults in a 64-bed unit (15 designated Neuro beds).

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on the IMCU/PCU with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and post-op needs
- Monitor telemetry, vital signs, neurologic status, and respiratory status; manage oxygen therapy and ventilatory support with RT assistance as needed
- Administer medications, including IV therapies and infusions; perform unit-specific procedures per protocol
- Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and care coordination; communicate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Float to assigned units as required; adhere to safety protocols and unit policies; respond to changes in patient condition promptly
- Support family education, discharge planning, and transition planning while maintaining patient safety and quality standards

Requirements
- Active NY RN license; Nursys verification with ACTIVE NY License and ALL RN licenses; RTO must be included at submission
- Certifications: Current AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years in IMCU/PCU with travel experience preferred
- Education: Graduate of an approved nursing program; eligible for licensure as RN in NY
- EMR: EPIC experience required
- Ability to work in an IMCU/PCU inpatient setting; floating as needed; evidence-based practice and to follow unit protocols
