About the Position

Our Client is a growing independent insurance agency looking for an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. This is a hybrid role that offers the flexibility of working from home while maintaining a strong in-office presence (minimum 3-4 days per week) at our Merrillville office.We are seeking a proactive, resourceful professional with strong technical knowledge in commercial insurance who thrives in a fast-paced independent agency environment. Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation Package: (depending on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and service a book of commercial lines accounts (property, general liability, workers' comp, auto, etc.)

• Prepare quotes, proposals, and renewals

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers

• Handle policy changes, endorsements, certificates, and billing inquiries

• Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities

• Work collaboratively with producers and the agency team

• Stay current on market conditions and coverage options

Qualifications - What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience in an independent insurance agency (required)

• Strong proficiency in quoting, servicing, and managing commercial accounts

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• High level of resourcefulness and problem-solving ability

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Licensed in Property & Casualty (Indiana license preferred; willingness to obtain required)

• Experience with agency management systems (preferred)

• Positive attitude and team-player mindset
