Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Oncology Registered Nurse for a 12-week travel assignment in Connecticut. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adult patients with a variety of medical-surgical and oncology diagnoses while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Oncology patients.
Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in clinical condition.
Administer medications, chemotherapy-related supportive treatments (as applicable), IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Collaborate with physicians, case managers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, symptom management, and discharge planning.
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the electronic medical record.
Maintain compliance with patient safety standards, infection prevention guidelines, and hospital policies.
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience required.
Oncology nursing experience preferred.
Previous Epic EMR experience preferred.
Strong assessment, clinical decision-making, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced acute care environment.
Assignment Highlights
12-week travel assignment.
Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3 x 12-hour shifts).
36 guaranteed hours per week.
