Associate Attorney Non-Litigation

Job Overview A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney (Non-Litigation) for their office in West Des Moines, IA. The role involves supporting litigation attorneys with legal document production, legal research, and client screening. Duties Draft summons, complaints, motions, discovery, and other pleadings. Conduct legal research and brief writing. Screen potential clients. Assist in trial preparation. Perform other duties as assigned by a litigation attorney. Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and eligibility for the Iowa Bar Exam or Iowa State Bar license. Superior customer service skills. Innovative problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and multitask in a dynamic environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel. High level of professionalism and confidentiality. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Certifications Eligibility for the Iowa Bar Exam or licensed by the Iowa State Bar. Skills Superior customer service. Problem-solving. Independent work capability. Multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
