Fleet Coordinator

Job Description and Duties

Under direction of the Supervisor II, Procurement and Business Services Manager, the Analyst II serves as Fleet Coordinator and Buyer and performs fleet, facilities, and purchasing coordination duties within the Business Services Unit (BSU). The incumbent performs a wide variety of complex analytical, technological, and consultative duties that require independence of action, analysis, and initiative in support of all levels of staff. This is a journey-level position that requires fiduciary responsibility, critical thinking skills, and flexibility to effectively perform the more difficult and complex essential functions relating to fleet, facilities, procurement, and asset management including the electrification initiatives within the BSU. The position leads the development of the Fleet Acquisition Plan (FAP) and supports statewide fleet and facility readiness for compliance with Senate Bill 1203 (Allen, 2022), Executive Order B-16-12, and SAM § 4100. This position is required to have a valid California driver's license and to operate a vehicle on official State business.

Note: Posted salaries do not reflect the 2 - 4.62% pay reduction in exchange for 3.5 – 8 hours per month of leave arising from the Personal Leave Program 2025. Information related to salary reductions is available in Section 2113 of the CalHR Human Resources Manual.

Working Conditions

• Core work hours of 9:00am to 3:00pm.
• Transport items weighing up to 35 pounds.

School Transcripts:

Required to drive a State vehicle during the course of official State business.
