Position Summary REEL USA has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Assembler to support the fabrication of lifting equipment at our Springfield, IL location. How You Will Make an Impact Work in a safe manner, actively participate in safety, health, and environmental programs, attend scheduled team meetings, and complete safety training requirements. Perform occasional welding of fabricated parts using flux‑cored arc welding (FCAW) process. Read and interpret manufacturing plans or blueprints (imperial and metric). Handle and move parts, assemblies, and equipment using overhead crane, truck lift or similar lifting equipment. Maintain accurate documentation of installations, modifications, and repairs. Ensure all mechanical components are assembled and installed according to manufacturer recommendations, industry standards, and safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or certificate in industrial or manufacturing assembly. Experience as an industrial mechanic, electromechanical assembler, auto or heavy‑duty mechanic, military machinery technician, or machinist (including manual machining). Team‑based collaboration skills; strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently. Positive safety, health, and environmental record; familiarity with PPE, confined space entry, lockout/tagout, hot work, safe work permitting, emergency response, and hazard awareness. Accurate and consistent in performing tasks; familiarity with safe use of basic hand tools. Ability to complete welding tests (AWS D1.1 certifications are a plus). Hands‑on experience with hand and pneumatic tools, including welding equipment. Able to read blueprints, with good hand‑eye coordination, manual dexterity, and touch perception. Basic math skills; problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities. Effective time management and organizational skills; ability to remain calm and react effectively in critical situations. Experience with accident and near‑miss reporting, incident investigation, and accountability to standards. Ability to safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and aerial work platforms. Flexible in performing changing assignments and work schedules; overtime may be required. Physical requirements: climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding; standing, sitting, kneeling, squatting, working at heights; confined space entry; lockout/tagout; use of hand tools; occasional heavy lifting (up to 50lb). Ability to distinguish visual colors and shapes throughout employment. Successful completion of competency assessments. Actual compensation will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience. Work Schedule This is a full‑time position. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; schedule may change based on business needs.
