Overview Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel) focused on perioperative care in a high-volume surgical program in Kansas City, KS. Start date: 08/30/2026. Duration: 13 contract weeks. Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care for diverse OR cases, maintaining patient safety and comfort
• Prepare the sterile field, assist with anesthesia as needed, monitor vital signs, and manage airway during procedures
• Support surgical teams with instrument handling, positioning, draping, suction, and equipment setup
• Maintain sterile technique, document intraoperative events, and ensure accurate ETC/EPIC entries
• Support ENT (trach/airways, head/neck flaps, ears, soft tissue), Neuro (burr holes, craniotomy), and surgical oncology robotics cases as assigned
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and circulators; participate in case flow, patient handoffs, and post-anesthesia care planning
• Adhere to established policies, safety protocols, and infection prevention standards; complete required credentialing and orientation milestones

Requirements

• Current RN license in Kansas or a valid Compact/ multi-state license
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA)
• Proficiency in ENT (trach/airways, head/neck flaps, ears, soft tissue), Neuro (burr holes, craniotomy), or robotic surgical oncology OR cases
• OR nursing experience in a fast-paced setting; ability to work 3x12 night shifts
• Floating: ability to float to all ORs as needed
• Orientation completion prior to assignment start; ability to meet credentialing deadlines
• Education: RN program completion required
