Customer Experience Coordinator

Overview ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Customer Experience Coordinator directs the flow of customers through the Front End, ensures sufficient checkouts are open, and maintains low wait times. They greet customers, answer questions, help resolve concerns, and enforce store policies related to customer checkout, security, and cash control. Responsibilities Direct the flow of customers through the Front End and ensure adequate checkouts to minimize wait times. Monitor breaks and lunches to avoid interruption of customer service. Greet customers, answer questions, resolve concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner. Follow company policies related to checkout to increase customer satisfaction. Enforce security and cash control procedures to identify and prevent losses. Assist cashiers with making change, checking prices, voids, refunds, etc. Conduct unannounced audits on cashiers and monitor cashier and lot attendant performance, providing feedback to management. Follow and enforce all front-end policies and procedures; participate in training of front-end associates to ensure productivity, speed, accuracy, and courtesy. Assist in enforcing and adhering to company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. Operate front-end scanning equipment and registers; perform checkout procedures including bagging items and placing merchandise in the customer’s cart. Answer customer service phone calls with a polite and positive attitude; use intercom for announcements as needed. Maintain transaction accuracy and proper funds collection (cash, checks, electronic payments, coupons); ensure security of cash drawers and reduce overages/shortages. Follow store and legal guidelines regarding sale of tobacco and alcohol. Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, promotions, and store layout to answer questions. Responsible for general sanitation in the department and adhering to cleaning schedules and health/OSHA requirements. Dispose of trash properly; ensure smooth department and store operation by cooperating with coworkers and supervisors. Utilize all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Supervisory Responsibilities This position currently has no supervisor responsibilities. Qualification Requirements Education and/or experience: high school diploma or GED, or working toward it. No prior experience required. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation. Rate of Pay and Benefits The hourly rate for this position starts at $15.00 and goes up to $22.00.
